Colin post show at U.C from Dan Levy on Vimeo.
I’m sitting on my plane (DELTA) the morning after the big show in Cinncy. The show was really fun but I am in terrible back pain from traveling so much. This week I have been to 8 states in 7 days. I can’t bend backwards and I’m having this shooting pain on the left side of my lower back. I went to webmd.com to try to diagnose myself, but all I found was some video of an Indian doctor talking about AIDS.
But back to the important post-show info!
We performed last night to a packed house of 400 students. Which was pretty impressive, considering it was the Friday night of Halloween weekend. I guess seeing college humor live is more fun then seeing a 19 year-old freshman dressed up as the “anal sex mummy”. Apparently me and the students at Cinncy see the world differently.

Me, Bougler, Reggie Watts (who got off the plane 20 minutes before his set), all had great sets. Shameful trivia was the most shameful yet, I sold a shit load of Cd’s, and Colin was hilarious.
Its really fun having him on the shows because more people come out, he’s ridiculously funny, and he makes fun of Boulger…a lot. He told him “you like a BYO point guard from 1978”.
I shot a lot of videos and took a bunch of pix. If you weren’t at the show…here is what you missed.

Well if you’re into no cellphone service, hecklers, and corn… then you MUST perform at Kutzy U. The show started off perfect: big theatre, 200 hundred students, and subway sandwiches. What could be better? The students were also really smart (or at least a lot of them wore glasses) so it was a fun crowd, but half way through the show a student (not so smart and not wearing glasses) started screaming, “where’s Eddie Murphy?” Which doesn’t make sense for several reasons.
To which I replied “Well…its not 1984… and lets be honest we are at Kutztown U. Maybe if you did better in high school, went to a college that people outside of Kutztown have heard of, and had a time machine to go back to the 80s when Eddie Murphy actually did stand-up…Eddie MIGHT be here. But that’s the not the case, so why don’t you just shut up and LOL like everyone else.”
The crowd was behind me the whole show so they went crazy with applause after that and unfortunately for the Eddie Murphy fan…the college police removed him for disrupting the show. I was hoping they would use tazers like in Florida, but they didn’t. Damn.
Besides that little mishap, the show went great.
Nikki glazed the crowd, Boulger (who is recovering from a broken face. That is not a joke. He got drunk, fell, and broke his face.) was the funny jaded 22 year-old we all love, and Nyim Lynne killed.
I learned a lot from the students of Kutztown University:
1) They don’t wear shoes or sox… to shows.
2) Some of them dress in bear suits and have sex with each other.
3) They love free shit.
4)
Colin who lives in Maryland doesn’t realize his long distance relationship is ending very soon.
5) Some students will try to rape you on stage.
Next show is tomorrow! Woo hoo!
Hamilton College was a pretty good time. I think it would have been a bigger show but we were competing with a farm party.
Yes, an actual party where students get drunk, dress like farmers, and then vomit on fake cows. Man I really wish I was still in college. My post - college farm parties are kinda creepy. (Its just me naked drinking milk).

But the students who did make it out… got to see a sweet ass show…we had Reggie Watts, Dan Boulger, and special guest Rory Albanese the co-executive producer of the Daily Show.

The students were pumped to see him perform and even more pumped to ask him for an internship.
My biggest problem with the show besides the traffic on the way home…

was the tech guy.
I couldn’t decide if he was fucking with me, didn’t understand how a show works, or if he was not the tech guy.
I say this because he kept randomly playing the same Justin Timberlake song before I introduced the next act and then during the beginning of the show he just turned off the lights for no reason.

I then had to continue to tell jokes in the dark. Thank god I am not a prop comic. But who knows? Maybe he was just laughing so much his brain turned to mush. I’ll go with that.

Next up KUTZTOWN U. I don’t know what to expect from this school at all …the name alone sounds like an anti-semitic vagina. Good times!

Everyone’s favorite game: SHAMEFUL TRIVIA. Check out Zack’s pecks. No one ever gets this question right.
That is right people! After a few weeks off. College humor live is back! Making its first stop in NY, then NYC, and finally Ohio.
Our first stop is Hamilton College and I just read this on the cover of their website: “Hamilton Students Bring Youth Soccer to Utica Neighborhood for Third Year”. So I am guessing this school is going to be OUT OF FUCKING CONTROL!
Then Im going to be headlining COMIX comedy club in NYC this sunday with a bunch of other college humor comics. This isn’t an official date but it should be very fun. (Doors open at 7. 353 W. 14th St. (Just East of 9th Ave) CLICK HERE TO PRE-ORDER TIX NOW:
Then we end the run with a big show at the University of Cincinatti with special guest Colin Quinn. I will be sure to blog directly after each show. They should be awesome.
This is all leading up to our last show of the semester, November 30th @ B.U. Man I can’t believe it is only a few weeks before someone calls me a wicked queer fag while Im on stage.

I fly jet blue. It is terrible. They make you think they’re a great airline because they have TVs in every seat. But I think they should use their “TV” money and buy more important things like working “WINGS”.
Just got back from Buffalo State with Nikki Glaser, Chris Porter, Dan Boulger, and Colin Quinn! I knew it was going to be a good time as soon as I stepped into the green-room.
Back stage at Buff State. from Dan Levy on Vimeo.

It was the biggest venue we’ve played yet and it was a lot of fun. We performed at the Buff State Bengal’s arena. (I don’t think that is the correct name, but you get the point.) There were several hundred students and it took a minute, to get used to the echoes of laughter. And BELIEVE ME BLOG…there was laughter!
Nikki in the van from Dan Levy on Vimeo.
I opened up the show by saying, “my cell phone doesn’t work up here…but it doesn’t even say no service. It just says: get the FUCK out of Buffalo.” Note to self: Don’t bash a city you are in, when performing in their giant arena.
But after some jokes about me and long distance relationships, it was smooth sailing. All the comics we’re hilarious, especially Colin. But I think the hotel REALLY liked Colin.

I’m looking forward to having him on the show in Ohio next month.
